Non-Contact Services Popular in China amid Epidemic Outbreak
BEIJING, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) — Services like non-contact vegetable delivery, face scanning in unmanned supermarkets and takeaway collection from courier cabinets are growing more popular in China as consumers guard against the novel coronavirus.
Amid the epidemic, more consumers are choosing non-contact shopping, reported Shanghai Securities News.
The State Post Bureau stated at a press conference the need to actively promote the use of smart express boxes. The governments of Shandong, Chongqing and other regions also issued notices to encourage non-contact delivery services.
Besides, the State Taxation Administration also advocated contactless tax payment services to reduce the risks of the virus spreading.
It is reported that non-contact services have also boosted stocks of the new retail sector in the A-share market.
